Ministries of Stewardship

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. – 1 Peter 4:10

We are called to be disciples of Christ. Disciples of Christ imitate Christ and bring glory to God. At St. Patrick Parish we have many opportunities to answer the call of Christ.  We invite you to use your gifts to enhance your life and the lives of others.

Collection Counters

Each week, a team of people assist in the counting of the weekly Collection. In addition to counting the money, the counters prepare it for deposit, recording each envelope and organizing each donation accordingly. Contact Doug Singo at dougsingo@gmail.com for more information.

Food Drives

Food drives are conducted at St. Patrick’s at least twice a year to benefit the Kennett Area Community Services (KACS) Food Cupboard. Non-perishable food donations are collected during the weekend Masses and then transported to the Food Cupboard. In addition, food collections during the holidays are also held, assisting families in need. For more information, contact Jen Keller at jenkellersp@gmail.com.

Parish Finance Council

The Parish Finance Council consists of a body of lay people established to advise the pastor in matters pertaining to the financial affairs of the parish. The Council assists the pastor in prudent planning and administration of all parish financial matters and in the setting of policy and establishing procedures to provide effective management of the parish assets. The Council is composed of the pastor and lay members of the parish who are knowledgeable and skilled in financial matters. Members are appointed by the Pastor.

Parish Pastoral Council

The mission of the Parish Pastoral Council is to work in collaboration with the pastor in planning, encouraging, and guiding all aspects of parish life. Members must discover and define parish needs, then formulate policy and goals based upon these identified needs. To fulfill its function the Council must identify with the very purpose and mission of the Church. Council members consist of a body of elected and appointed members.

Respect Life Ministry

The mission of St. Patrick’s Respect Life Ministry is to receive and give the love of God by proclaiming the Gospel of Life through prayer, education, support, and advocacy affirming the sacredness of life from conception to natural death. Members of this ministry initiate and participate in pro-life activities in the parish and community.  Meetings are held at 7:30 PM on the 4th Wednesday of each month in St. Joseph Room.
